Icmeler Beach

Postby sanjo » 02 Feb 2008 18:47

Just wondering if someone can answer my question about the beach.

We havn't used the beach in the past as my youngest son had a thing about sand, but as we are going on our own this year it will be nice to go down the beach a few times.

My question is do you have to pay for the sunbeds and parasols all along the beach or is it just in certain areas?

Hi there, certain parts of the beach are reserved for some hotels, the rest is open to the public, there is a charge of 2.5lira about one pound last year, for the day. All the best

not all areas on the beach charge for sunbeds if you head along where the harmany bar and liberty bar is, the beach belongs to the resturants and they dont charge

if you head along the prom towards the marina were the last few bar/resteurants areyou can use sunbeds allday just have a few drinks or maybe even your lunch, the lads are great for a laugh and very attentive, if your lucky you may even get entertained with some turkish dancing by them. we normally go on beach about noon and not come off till about 4:30 and we have a couple of drinks apiece maybe £5 all together, and you have toilets. when are you going, my wife are there 15th may for 2 weeks

hi Sanjo

the beach we use belongs to the Yakomoz bar and restaurant. if you go down main street past icr to the bottom and turn right, its about half way along . free sunbeds and free use of toilets all day, just need to buy a drink or two or a snack. beach is very clean and all staff very friendly and will wait on you all day.

We also use the beach in front of the Yakamoz. In my opinion it's the best part of the beach, you have to walk out quite a way before the sea gets deep so it's ideal for kids.
The beach boys who look after that bit of beach work so hard - and they're very entertaining, nothing is too much bother, they'll fetch and carry drinks for you all day, even spread out your towels for you - and talking of towels, you know how skanky beach towels get, full of salt and sand, if you leave them with one of the beach boys when you leave the beach for 1 lira per towel they'll wash them and have them back ready for you to use the next day. Well worth the money!!
