May/june weather

Postby NATAJACK » 23 Jan 2008 12:54

Hi,

Last year was our first visit to Icmeler ,we went in August. It was really hot, and the night time temperature was more or less the same as daytime temp!!.

We have now booked to go from the 28th of May till 11th of June and I was wondering if the temperature cooled down any at night, with it being earlier on in the seaon. Any idea?

Thank :D

At that time of the year Debbie, the daytime temps will be in the high 30s
and the evenings will be ok,maybe a cardi in the case if it does get a bit breezy.
Always a chance of the odd shower but doesnt last long.
One year we went it was in the low 40s for several days.
Also been there when the rain has bucketed down for a day.but both these not the norm.
We are there from the 24th May for two weeks

Hi Debbie. Weather is usually great in May. Daytime 70's to 80's often. Nightime temps really comfortable. I'm a cold bunny so I usually pack a couple of cardy's and jackets for the evening but often don't need them

Yes, May temperatures are lovely, usually well up in the 80s, but we had quite a few cloudy days when I was there in May last year - mind you I suppose it was fairly early being around May 12th when we flew out. Hopefully in May this year it'll be more settled :? I don't like this cloud business when you're only ther for a week!!!!

Best to take a cardi for night time as it can get quite chilly - or buy a pashmina when you're there (!)

Sea temps will be much colder than August though. I don't normally go in the sea in May.

It really was extraordinarily hot last August.... one night I checked an outdoor thermometer and it was reading 35C at 11pm!! Have decided to go the first 2 weeks of September this year in the hope it won't be so unbearably hot!
