Can anyone tell me if its possible to get your eyes tested to the UK standard in Icmeler and if its any cheaper.

Im not saying Turkey doesnt have a high standard of testing, its just it may be different!

I've finally got round to booking an optician's appt at home and know I need specs but the prices are scary here

Anyone know what sort of prices frames are in Icmeler? Do they work our much cheaper than here and are they any good?
I fancy a couple of pairs to go with the shoes, handbags, and so on and so on!!
Am thinking of some simple, slim designer ones

Im not sure on the prices but there is a very good opticians in icmeler, i need my eyes tested again so when i fly back in a few weeks i willl let you know.

I dont know how good they are over there re testing, but I got eyes tested here and took my prescription over with me got new glasses no bother.

With places here doing all their deals I dont know if Turkey works out cheaper

Lynn - as long as the prices are no more than here, I fancy having a look. Am after something a bit different.

Thats the one I used the guy is really nice and I got a lovely pair of designer looking glasses for £100.

I think there's another one near the Icmeleronline office

Similar ones here that I looked at were costing £300.

It is cheaper to have a prescription made up in Turkey and the frames are cheaper but I believe that you have to see an "eye doctor" to have your eyes tested and are not able to have them done at a dispensing optician.

just got back from opticians and my suspicions were right - am blind as a bat !!
have had to get a pair of specs to tide me over, but am definitely going to get at least one more pair when we go to Icmeler, so roll on August!!
