Xmas 2007

Postby flora79 » 20 Nov 2007 15:25

hi All,

I've just booked fro my second christmas out in turkey and would really like to see the Stella Show in that time - does anyone know if Michael does a show in the winter nowadays?

I also thought it would be fun to see what people's plans were for New Year's eve in Turkey????

Thers a couple of places open in icmeler retaurants etc, but for new years eve you would have to venture into marmaris some of the bigger hotels put entertainment on for that evening

Hi

I'm off on 22nd Dec from Birmingham and I'm lucky as I stay with my fella although his flat has been totally flooded from all that rain!

It's quite easy to get reasonable flights out and really cheap if you aren't restricted to school holidays. Also, any hotels that are open have very cheap rates in the winter - of course i'm sure the guys here could hook you up with something!

I would definitely recommend Incmeler/Marmaris out of season. It's a great chance to see Turkey without the hustle and bustle of tourist life and to see it for what it really is.

Wish you luck for this winter

Thanks Laura
Wont be able to make it this year cos have just been made a Nana for the first time so it'll be really special to be here rather than Icmeler
Know what you mean about being there out of season tho, we went a couple of years ago for the very end of the season and the guys kindly left 4 sunbeds on the beach just for us and luckily the weather was good enough to use them
The locals must've thought we were mad - there they were in their layers of woolies and we were givin it large in our cozzies ha ha

New Year in Icmeler is high on my to do list (maybe for 2009) so would you mind please PMing me the sites with the flights you mention as I've not been able to find anything going from a NW airport to Dalaman

Thanks and make sure to have an Efes or Raki Cherry for me and have a great time - hope the flat's dried out!

hi Flora, ive just come back from Icmeler and i must say it was very very quiet. I spoke with the owners of Harmony bar where the Stella show runs and he said if there are enough people there at xmas then they will open the bar and the show, so fngers crossed for you although it was much quieter this year apparently than last :(
