new to icmeler

Postby winter656 » 05 Oct 2007 18:39

Hi going to icmeler on the 12th October.

Haven't been before and going on my own, what is it like for a single female, late 30's? Is it possible to go out to restaurants on my own, will I be hassled?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Hi winter656 and wellcome to the forum.
I would try the big 3 restaurents on the canal, these being The Dreamboys,Venice and the Majestic.
I mention these because at that time of the year these 3 will still be very busy and you will get entertained in all 3 after 10pm.
You will be made very wellcome in Turkey.
As for attention you will certainly be spoken to by the waiters and maybe get the chat up lines,I am not refering to the restaurents I have just mentioned.

I am wittering away here trying to give you a little advice but hope one of our lady members can give you more positive advice.

no need to worry i went on my own for work i was made very welcome. i was shy at first about eating out alone but you soon get used to it and everyone makes a big effort to make you feel welcome. Just sit back relax and watch the world to by :D you will have nothing to worry about you soon get used to everything. Hope you have a great time and dont hold back i do not regret a thing and i think i prefer to go on my own because you can go and do whatever you want :D best of luck xx

Hiya, you'll be fine at Golmar Beach, we've been going there for the past 6 years (twice a year sometimes). Say Hi to Kerim on reception from me (he knows me as Dorothy), he's really nice and helpful, you'll do well to make a friend of him. All the waiters and staff are very friendly - I'm so jealous. Hope you have a great time.
