One person can go the visa desk and get all the visas, I do it every year however you then proceed through passport control where each person is checked against their passport, after passport control you collect your luggage.

Hi

We went July 16th for 2 weeks this year and going back next month (Oct 5th) for a week. Could anyone tell me if our visas will still be valid ???
I'm sure that I read somewhere on the forum that they are valid for 3 months - or was it a dream ?

Marks your visa lasts for 90 days.
so the visa you have on now will be valid beause from your entry on 16th July to your departure on the 12 October will be 88 days.

But dont stop for a fortnight or you will need another visa.

Gene

ps,
We also have had to all come to visa control to get our visa, maybe we are another dodgy family.

Thanks Gene

Re Visa Control.

When there in July there was one guy on his own in front of us who didn't have a £10.00 note to get his visa, only £20.00 notes (lucky him!). They did howver accept the £20.00 and gave him change. I was under the impression that only £10.00 notes were acceptable. Can I assume they have always given change as we've always been told that they only accept a £10.00 note ? :?

last year when we went, i family of 4 in front handed over 2 x £20 notes and they were told had to be 4 x £10 but they would accept 2 x £20 for 2 payments and would need 2 x £10 for other 2 - luckily i had a load of tenners so i swapped it for them :)

Last year I worked in Istanbul a few weeks before going to Icmeler, I took the families passports and purchased the visas for all, mine was stamped at Istanbul but the first stamp for the rest of the families was in Dalaman.

Thinking about this year I'm not sure if the family were with me when I bought the visa but previous years I was the only one to go up the few steps to the visa desk in the old airport.

Hi all.
We were there form 21-28 august. When we were leaving manchester to go to dalaman 2 previous flights that had been delayed were also leaving at the same time to go to dalaman also. When we finally arrived at dalaman at 0330 everyone seemed to have arrived at once including flights from germany and several locations in the uk. I would guesstimate that there were at least 3000+ people trying to get through visa control and passport control on that night/morning. The visa area was absolutely packed!!!

Due to the massive crowds we were all told to send up 1 person per party with the passports and visa payments to the visa desk. However I would imagine that this was solely due to the massive amount of holiday makers all arriving at once in the wee hours of the morning. My boyfriend took my passportand the money for both up to the visa desk whilst I tried to get into the other queue behind hundreds of other people. He carries a british passport and his visa cost the standard £10. I have dual nationality and use an Irish passport. He gave the visa person £10 for my visa and was given back £2 in change.

The system does seem to be a little variable to say the least, as 1 man who was ahead of my boyfriend had payed £20 for his visa and was told that they had no change!
