the rate is up an down every day at the moment- i was told something to do with elections taking place. We have just got back from 2 weeks and got anyhting from 2.52 - 2.65. never shopped around - this was simply in the apartments. I was told that 2.71 was available but didnt bother.
Have a good time. it was a great holiday apart from the delay on the way home.

The exchange rate does change on a daily basis and on one day last week the rate did go up and you were getting 2.65ytl. This has since dropped again and generally you are getting between 2.50ytl and 2.58ytl as present.

try Travelex.com and pick your currency up at the airport before you leave. They were giving me the best exchange rate last week when i checked!
