Holiday Review

Postby Brownie1 » 27 Aug 2007 16:48

Hi everyone,

Just returned from a wonderful fortnight in Icmeler. What can I say that has not been said already...we had an absolutely fabulous time. The weather was very very warm, reaching 44degrees centigrade last Thursday. Phew...but I found the heat to be more humid this year.

We were getting on average 2.65 ytl. Food was great whereever we ate - Mr Chef, Chef, Anatolian, Pizza Tomato, Deja Vu, Champion, Taj Mahal etc etc.

The one thing I love about going back to Icmeler is the number of people who remember you from the previous year and meeting up with people who were on holiday at the same time last year. We met up with quite a few people which was great.

Had a Turkish Bath at a posh hotel (don't know if I'm allowed to mention which one!), went on a jeep safari and got soaked as usual - kids thought it was great, hubby did a couple of fishing trips - which gave me a few hours shopping alone!

Market was a bit disappointing I thought. Apart from the intense heat, much of the goods were the same as previous years.

Hassle was definitely not as bad as last year which made the holiday more enjoyable. Did not notice any places closed due to hassle whilst we were there.

Bumped into Eric the Viking and Slats which was nice - it's always nice to put a face to a name.

Not much more I can say. Will post photos when I get chance.

Su :)
