New Place to see

Postby sophie » 15 Aug 2007 18:27

Hi everyone. Just returned from our 6th visit to Icmeler, great as always. But this time we visited Turunc for the first time. What a smashing little place. Well worth a visit and only 30 mins away. We got a taxi there which cost us £12.00 and the water taxi back to Icmeler. The taxi ride over the mountains was spectacular, with views over Icmeler to die for and then after a wonderful evening meal had a beautiful ride back on the sea. All you Icmeler lovers out there that have not been to Turunc must take a look, you will be very pleasently supprised and I am sure have a great time as we did. Thats all folks, just waiting now for my next trip there, Trying for October.

Have been Turunc a number of times, usually by taxi boat. And, I agree it's a lovely little village. The taxi boat is the way to go!

I fancy getting the water taxi to Turunc - does anyone know when the last one leaves Icmeler?
Thanks

I think the last water taxi leaves Icmeler at 4.30pm. This was a problem for us as we felt it was to early and still to hot, hence why we got a taxi there. We were told that the dolmus ran past where we were staying which would have been ideal but no one new the running times :? As I said though a taxi only cost £12 and was worth every penny. The last water taxi from Turunc to Icmeler is 9pm. Hope this helps and please go take a look at this beautiful village it really is worth it. :D

I usually get the water taxi over on market day, wander round the small market and have a drink in a bar and then head back :D

Hi Ya Red Wine. This was our first visit to Turunc so I wouldn't like to recommend anywhere to you, but like Icmeler there is quite a few places to eat, mind you it is quite a bit smaller than Icmeler. Sorry I can't remember the place where we had our meal at but it was smashing. I am sure you will find somewhere nice. :D
