Where's Chuf Chuf Gone?

Postby Erik The Viking » 16 Aug 2007 18:11

A couple of years ago the tractor train graced the streets of icmeler, i didnt see it last year and assumed it was off the road. Is it back or is it gone forever?

It was reitred the poor thing, I used to love hearing it tootling round the streets.

There are several different stories though as to why it was retired.

Poor Erik,
No more chuf chuf & played 2 & no points.
If I see you some time after the 24th I will buy you a large Efes.
I live in Leeds & I know what suffering is all about.

Last year our rep told us that the train had been stopped because a child had fallen off it and got hurt. I don't know if that is true or not.

My grand daughter used to love the train. She would always wave to the people as it went past. I heard last year that one of the boys working on it fell off and died :(

the hotel we stay at is owned by the same people who owned the train when we asked about it this year, we were told that an accident had happened and it was decided to stop the train for safety reasons , but no one would elaborate.

I heard the same story as Mad-Mags a couple of years ago. My girls used to love it as well.
