BEST EXCHANGE RATE

HI EVERYONE,MAKING A RETURN VISIT TO ICMELER ON 20thAUGUST FOR TWO WEEKS AS LAST YEAR WAS SO GOOD,DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT AND WHERE TO GET BEST EXCHANGE RATE ?
LAST YEAR WE FOUND A LADY CALLED "ROSE" JUST DOWN THE ROAD FROM THE "WATERFALL RESTAURANT" WHO GAVE US THE BEST RATE WE COULD FIND 2.70 LIRA TO THE POUND,CASH OR TRAVELLERS CHEQUES,DOES ANYONE KNOW IF SHE IS STILL THERE ? THANKS

Hi Gary

Remember the exchange rate isn't as good this year. When we were there in July it was only between 2.5 and 2.6 to the pound. Bet place that we used was the supermarket next to Chill bar and underneath ICR offices.

We are first timers to Icmeler. Where is the best place to change English money, lots of different advice on the forum. Is it Venice or the supermarket next to the Chill Bar? Advice appreciated.

Once you find the Chill bar,the ICR offices are above this.
The little supermarket is next door to the Chill and I have used it for a few years now both for groceries and changing my sterling.

If you are in the Venice having a meal and need money changing there is no problem.
