Avon SSS

Last year, after recommendations from regulars on this site, I bought some Avon Skin So Soft aftersun. On the bottle it said "with insect repellant". This year I can't find it on their site.... Help! It actually did help so want to get some more.

Hi Babs

The SSS to use for mossies is Dry Oil body spray the blue one
you can find it on their best sellers range it 2 for £5 at the moment.

Avon did do suncare with repellent in it but not the SSS range I think it was in their bronze range. I could'nt find it on site this year as I was looking for it as well.

They dont sell the aftersun cream with insect repellent now, we had some left over from last year and tried to get somemore but the avon lady couldnt get any, she even tried to get old stock but thats all gone, I dont know why they've given up selling it because its one of the best insect repellants I have used. This year I tried the lemon oil which they sell in Icmeler which smells nice but there wer'nt that many mossies about so I dont know how effective it was.

Thanks for the help - looks like I will have to try the Dry Oil this time as the lemon spray didn't do the trick for me last time I used it

Hi Babs

SSS works for me but another good one to use you get it at the chemist just left of the web cam is the sinkov(I think is called) ask for the cream not the spray lasts longer on the skin and in my opion works better.

Oh i was gutted when i found out they had stopped selling it,i emailed Avon and asked about it, i used it everytime i went away and never had one bite. It was a godsend to actually find something that stopped me getting bitten as i used to get eaten alive,now for this year i've had to end up buying Tesco aftersun with insect repellant,hopefully it will do the trick.

Avon Skin so Soft now goes under the name of Soft and Fresh - still smells the same, so hopefully still puts the mozzies off!

I use both fragrances of the SSS dry oil spray and also the shower gel - got to make sure!!!!!!!!! Both work extremely well as I haven't been bitten since using them.

I used Avon dry oil SSS last year and it was brilliant.
