just saying hello

Postby sanjo » 22 May 2007 16:24

Hi all,
not been on for a week as I havn't been able to use my arm :(

I have pulled a muscle in my shoulder and been in agonies of pain
Doc says it going to take 4-6 weeks to heal. I'm gutted as were off to Icmeler in 12 days and I'd planned to do so many things this year on our trip.
So if you see anyone walking around with a lop- sided shoulder its me :)
Its feeling a lot better than it did a week ago so I'm just praying I make a miraculous recovery. Any tips would be a great help.

My darling son said "Even if you cant go mum me and dad can still go on our own"
Could it be they love Icmeler more than me?

Hi sanjo,
hope the shoulder gets better and doesnt spoil your holiday.
I took the wife away two years ago and she was on two sticks through back pain and my grandson said to me we could still go and leave his nan at home.

Its surprising how things heal given a little time,I think you should be ok just dont carry any cases or do any housework untill you go.

Hi Gene,
thanks for your message.
I will gladly not do any housework :D . I cant even use my right arm at the moment so I've got a good excuse
As for carrying the suitcase I couldn't even carry it with a good arm (hubs always complains I take too much stuff)

Yes I will be taking it easy as there's no way I'm going to miss my trip to Icmeler :D :D :D
One good thing my two week holiday has turned into four weeks as I'm off work now until we go away which I am very very :D :D about

Best advice I can give you is rest. Rest, rest and more rest. When you get to Icmeler, an Efes every 2-3 hours held in your poorly hand to exercise those injured muscles!!!

Hi Sue,
I like the sound of your on-line consultation
Think I'm going to have to do it left handed though :)

I just wish there was some miracle cure. I've only got 10 days to heal it :(

Hi Sanjo,
If it is still sore when you get to Icmeler go and have a medical massage were they will concentrate on the sore spot. The massage people are excellent at their job and much cheaper than here. Good Luck

Hi All,
I'd just like to thankyou all for your messages of support. I'm just praying now that it will heal enough for me to be able to go on the 4th. I would never of believed that a pulled/torn muscle could be so painful.
I cant sit for long or lay down for long. Hardly had any sleep for days. Just keep dosing myself up with Codine and Ibubrofen as described.
Hubs says we should cancel but at the moment I'm still trying to be optamistic and think positive.
I will be devastated if we cant go
