Bank Acounts

Postby Sue » 19 Apr 2007 14:04

Does anyone know anything about bank accounts over there. We opened one at Yapi Credi last year and were told it was an internet bank account but when we tried to access we couldn't. Just wondering if we should open one at HSBC as it is a worldwide bank instead

Hi Sue,

Maybe you should double check with Yapi Kredi that they have set your account up for Internet banking, i opened an account with Garanti bank about 2 years ago and from the beginning they said that i had internet banking but when i returned home and tried to log on, it wouldnt work so i phoned them up (they had an english number available) and got it sorted and all is fine now.

Hope you get sorted xxx :)

Sue i just checked the website and you can change it into the english version but also there is a section there to register for internet banking facilities, so you could just register your account online and then it should be activated. Maybe they didnt activate when the account was open but its worth a try .

The Individual Internet Banking password application consists of 4 application steps and 1 activation step. Activation of the password you specified at the end of application is executed through ATM or SMS confirmation. For this reason, if you would like activate your password by SMS, in order for the process to be completed, it is imperative that you updateyour mobile phone's details in our bank's records. Moreover, supplementary cards and virtual cards cannot be used for application purposes.

This is what it says everytime i put my details in
