Dalaman duty free at arrivals

Postby feebs1969 » 14 Jun 2016 15:50

Hi, has anyone used the duty free at arrivals? We normally buy two bottles at the airport then two on the plane but I have heard some people have been getting stopped and it all taken off them for being over the limit. just wondered if it would easier to buy two at duty free then two once we get to dalaman but just not sure how it works. thanks for any replies in advance :D

I've used the duty free at arrivals a number of times and find it convenient because I don't have to carry anything extra until then and its a straight walk down to the transfer.

The limit going in is 1 litre of spirits per person and it is being enforced, quiet heavily from what I've heard.

Personally I wouldn't risk it but I'm sure there are plenty that do.

It wouldnt matter if you bought 2 in uk 2 on plane or 2 in airport as the check will be after you come out of the duty free at Dalaman as you exit the terminal

When I was leaving the arrivals area two weeks ago just after duty free shop there was a customs desk where they staff were waiting to check passengers. I have never seen this desk staffed on any of my many previous visits to Dalaman.
