Fly Thomas Cook flight changes.

Postby Chris221273 » 20 Jun 2014 15:14

Anybody else getting inundated with flight changes from Thomas Cook?
We've had 3 now in the last 8 weeks!
Glad we haven't booked our transport to the Airport yet, could've been an extra 2 hours at the airport before August comes.

Have seen a few people complaining about this on various forums...TC have always been bad for flight changes, but they seem to be particularly bad for it this year.

We've always got a taxi to the airport, but thought this year we'd get the bus, £52 for both of us return (Reading to Gatwick), compared to £230.00 return for the taxi, lots more efes ;-)
But daren't book it yet as god knows how many more changes there might be!

Our flight has been changed too but thankfully only by 20 minutes. Although I wouldn't be surprised if it changed again.

I changed to TC this year as I have always previously flown with Monarch but last year after booking nearly 1 year in advance Monarch moved me from their 7.00 a.m. flight to their 3.00 p.m. flight!! To make matters worse the 7.00 a.m. flight was still going but was overbooked. I got nowhere with e-mails and calls and ended up posting on their facebook page. Funny enough they got back to me then. I ended up being compensated by £220 so it sort of softened the blow ha. Apparently they monitor their facebook page and really don't like bad publicity. Think airlines are all as bad as each other. No other business would be allowed to get away with it I think!!

I've also seen quite a lot of stuff within the past week or so from people complaining about delays with TC - on top of all the flight changes!

My flight was delayed coming home on 25 June but that was due to Air Strikes in France - can't really blame TC for that.

Lots of flights that week were delayed and some cancelled.

I use TC because of the day flights - fingers crossed never had the time changed but reading on here I won't be surprised if it does happen.

I know the 7am flight on a Saturday from Birmingham has had that slot for a few years now.

Same here, T.C. Flight home in September changed from 01:40 to 03:05. As if the flight times aren't bad enough anyway, good job we booked an extra night at the apartment so we can stay until our taxi comes for the airport. What's betting there is yet another change.

3.05am??? Wow! That's a bad one Mansy .... I think 11pm flights are bad enough back to 'Toon' International

Hate the hanging around until 6pm to be picked up ..... Such a long, long day
