Icmeler Taksi Rip Off!!!

Just thought I'd share a post from a Turunç Forum about someone being ripped off by the above!
The person in question is a British resident and got a taxi to Turunç of which their Turkish friend agreed a price of 30tl.
When they arrived he demanded 64tl and threatened to take them to the Jandarma if they didn't pay and said he hasn't agreed any such price!!!!
So maybe if your using them video it when you're agreeing a price before getting in the taxi!

We always get a Taksi to Dalaman from Icmeler. We just do the usual haggling and then agree a price. We always get a written receipt showing date and time of pick up and also pay a small say 10 lira deposit and balance to pay. Its always been a good service and we've never had a problem. If you get a receipt it should be fine

This person said they've done the trip countless times before with no problems and always paid 30tl!

So this taxi driver is not a friend

never ever walk out of Liverpool airport and get a Black cab is some advice that I can give freely.

Always call a private cab from inside the terminal

I agree with JT regarding never to use the Taxis outside the Airport .... 'Toon' International Cabs are a right rip off and we always use Private Hire
