Bit confused with your post, was Icmeler disappointing 6 years ago or this year?

Perhaps if you explained what you found so disappointing, we could offer you some reassurance or give you a clearer picture of how things are in the resort now?

we where last in icmeler in 2008 and stayed at the munamar on the front,I took my new partner to see the beautiful place I had discovered some years previous, I met a few mates while there Oscar from titanic hakan and his brother leven ,hakan was working at cupids at the time. We were all inc but always went for food in town we found the food a little bland and the atmos a little subdued, we walked down to the canal and were hassled and abused by some young waiters at one of the dance bars because we didn,t want to go in bit disappointed at that because thought that had all stopped so we looked else where now im looking at turkey again and the girlie wants to go to Tenerife

Well, there have definitely been some changes since then - places on the canal have been closed for a few days just this week for hassling people, for instance, as the mayor is clamping down on that kind of thing. We certainly don't find hassle a problem these days. As for food, places change chefs, etc, quite often so that can vary from year to year.
Personally, we tend to eat at the more Turkish places - especially the little ones where the locals go, You get fantastic food at great value prices and definitely no hassle. Have to say we find the food anything but bland. It all depends where you go and what you are looking for from your holiday...

Been going to Icmeler twice a year for the past 14 years. I can honestly say that We have never had a bland meal in any of the restaurants there. In fact, all the restaurants bend over backwards to give me exactly what I want if it's not on the menue.
Yes, there have been changes, which we are all coming to terms with this year, but none that I felt interfered with our holiday enjoyment. Like Blondie say's it all depends what you want out of your holiday. I never think it's a good idea to recommend holiday destinations to anyone ( unless they have already chosen to go to that destination), as we all want different things from it.
