Just had a quick cheap week in Altinkum at a family run
hotel and seeing friends who have an apartment just out of town and it is such a run down resort, so quiet, big hotels totally shut down, very few British tourists around and even the beaches were quiet, many hotel pools still closed and empty.
But.... they are allowing some live entertainment, some Turkish and some British, playing live music, solos with backing tracks , and one excellent guitar duo (acoustic but amplified) with a young British girl singing for them. Nice change and some good nights had by those there.
Nothing loud but tasteful and good to see, also well occupied and busy with mixed audiences, both Turkish and some Brits.
However, back to
Icmeler in mid September, and looking forward to no competing thump thump rap at high volumes in bars full of swearing that the Turk lads don't understand, sorry , rap is cr-p !!
Would be good to actually meet people and chat with them instead of shouting!
I do love my live music, but am happy to compromise and just enjoy a quieter ambience.
Roll on September to top up the tan!
