Harry Rams is now Cafe 48.I am told that the new building opposite Nevis pide is Harry Rams new home.Roma's Icmeler bar is now Cadde cafe and bar.Exchange rate next to Yolo bar 3.500 lira.Ida and Bonjour in square are open.Rush bar and Tin tins are. open.Weather is beautiful but quite chilly in the evening Another week in paradise really.

Thanks for the update Inch 1963 - I'm very jealous with 10 weeks to go before I fly out.

The price increase doesn't surprise with the way the rate is but at 3.50 tl to £1 it makes Efes £2.28 which isn't too bad.

Enjoy 8)

Hi inch1963 Hope you have a great time and weather is lovely and sunny for you. Tin Tin is normally one of the cheaper places for an EFES, if you do pop in can you advise the price. Thanks

Well typical of the Bells to up the price as they never bothered opening last winter so will have to try and recoup their losses

Hi all, thanks for the prompt. replies.Another super day,not rubbing it in, and one or two Efes were stopped from going out of date. The price of Efes in Tintins is 5.50 lira and the white wine was also reasonable and genourous measures..The chicken wraps were very tasty, and came with real chips.Exchange rate now 3.45 to today.JT as for recouping their losses in the Bells,we gave them10 bottles of spirits at cost price in October, and no free drink in either. So Tintins might get another regular to add to Led,Pete and the usual crowd.PS JT Zaza says hi from Idea.Regards all

Hi inch, thanks for the update, Tin Tin is my usual haunt and if beer is only 5.5, up from 5 last year I think they may be getting quite lot of business

With the bettr exchange rate and the government taxing drink again, I would expect to pay around 7 lira this year, so 5.5is excellent

Hi Inch,

Any chance of posting a daily Weather update? Temps from the Square would be ideal!

Seems strange not being there and having to wait until the 20/6 for our hol!

Considering a beer is 4.50-4.75 in the shops then 5.50 is an excellent price so try to support these bars in other ways as in you spending lots there and maybe eating there too

Phil, I did tell you about taking booze to bars, they are your best mate when it comes in but then you dont get a drink from them even and then they sell it back to you at full price, haha nah swerve that one

geordie1970 I would like to tell you and everyone the temperatures. However all the public temp/clock displays are covered. The one next to Yolo,in the square and opposite the Tandoori sizzler. All I can advise is that the sun is shining, there are no clouds in the sky and it is probably 24/5 degrees.Exchange rate is still 3.45tl.Much the same really.Anything springing to mind I will let you know.Over here until the 15th.

Well I am very jealous...wish I was there now.
Went fat club last night and it was like being sandblasted walking down from the car, when I came back it looked like I had parked my just cleaned car on the beach ! Glad when this sand storm pollution has blown over.
