So sad to see the small shops between Titanic and Ruby jewellers being knocked down. Hope the shop owners get to move into the new builds. Also the Pinewood Apts in the old village are getting demolished, with the owner retiring. Too many changes but hopefully for the best.

There are always changes during the closed season - sometimes the pictures of the work in progress look a lot more drastic than the finished result. Just hope the "new" shops on that stretch near the Titanic don't push their rents way up beyond the reach of the previous shopkeepers.

Any chance of some pictures of which shops have gone? I am friendly with Mustafa at Ruby and would love to see what is happening

It always amazes me how much change can be made in the 5 - 6 months the resort is closed.
Roll on 2014.......

I was only there in July but it feels like a long time ago and I probably won't go now till June so feels like a long time coming too. I cannot wait to see the changes by the time I get there.

Hope that the proposed changes to the Rhodes apartments don't go ahead

There are no changes at Rhodes aparts
Tolga has been on at me for years to help him build another block on the right as you walk in the gate and for years I have been putting him off it

When in Icmeler, in August i was very reliably informed that the Magic Garden will be one of the new businesses that will be setting up there.
Maybe as an additional site to our loved original.

Good news John. It sounded as if it was definitely on the cards for this winter. Another block would spoil what are at the moment exceptional apartments.

Agree with you there Dragon, it would become so overcrowded by the pool if he were to build another block and the gardens are lovely. Silly boy if he goes ahead with that. Hope you still have a good influence over Tolga then JT.
