Holiday booked but have I made a mistake

Postby ashington44 » 07 Oct 2013 16:04

Missed out on returning to Icmeler this year and was so happy to book for June 2014 until I read reports on this Forum. Has the resort gone back and are the stories of it being dirty true?

Have you made a mistake? NO! Don't worry, you haven't. Go to most resorts in the UK and you will still find that Icmeler is much cleaner as well as safer. Many on here say lovely Icmeler is just as good as it was years ago and I agree. there have been changes as everywhere changes over the years but I have not noticed any lack of cleanliness anywhere. Just look forward to your holiday and don't pack any cleaning things!

Forget about your worries over visiting Icmeler next year, we returned home last Saturday after spending 3 weeks there and already have our plans to be back once again in May ...... Enjoy

We returned a week ago after having another great holiday in Icmeler, we did not see any litter in fact we noticed a roadsweeper come round almost every day. Any changes are for the better and looking forward to our next visit in 2014 to see the new fountains/water feature near Tansas. You should have a great time :D

I don't think anyone can make a mistake by going to Icmeler. I have seen the comments that you refer to and I have to say I made a couple myself but never think its a mistake to go back. Icmeler is just as lovely as its always been, loads more new things to see and plenty of excellent restaurants to enjoy. I'll be booking for next year.

I was one of the ones that had commented on the amount of litter as we had to avoid it because of our wheelchairs. This was in a few streets in the Old Village and not in the centre.

I think that if we'd been in another country or visiting Icmeler for the first time, we wouldn't have commented at all. It's just because we are used to exceptionally high standards so when you see any litter it is not the 'norm' for Icmeler.

You definitely haven't made a mistake.
