Anyone had a meal in the Liberty Bar out on the jetty this year? How far in advance do you need to book?

hi, we went here 17 sept for our wedding anniversary, booked table 3 days in advance picked a particular table, when we arrived they had given it someone else and to top it off they didn't cook my husbands meal so we had to share mine, it was a shame this happened as it was our anniversary, the owner said sorry, but I must say the food was lovely shame we only had half each.

Oh, that's a real shame, Elayne - especially with you having booked in advance for such a special occasion. Poor show on their part... :(

Hi Elayne

It must have been annoying that they hadn't cooked your husband's meal especially after someone else had been given your table. Hope you still had a good evening though.

I wouldn't have stayed, it's a matter of principle here and they should know you cannot treat customers like that. Hope you had a nice evening anyway but I bet that put the dampeners on it.

It's good that you were able to laugh it off. Never realised though that 'with all my worldly goods I thee endow' included your anniversary meal

Thanks for that Sami, this restaurant is one that we have intended to go to for years but never managed it. So it's definitely on the list for next year.
