Boat Trip - August 2013

Postby sunseeker2011 » 11 Jun 2013 07:03

Hi all,

Am trying to organise a boat trip (hopefully JT or one of the girls will get on board with this too).

Looking around beginning of August sometime - thinking of sometime around the 4th.

If anyone is in resort around this time, can they comment on this thread - let's see if we can get 30 or so :)

Hi Justin

Friday 4th sounds good to us but I need to check with the others, we have a pre holiday get together on the 23rd June arranged where we will be putting kebabs on the BBQ and drinking Efes if the weather is good however I will give them a call before hand, hopefully we will add 11 to your list, may even be 14 if our London friends want to join us.

Are you suggesting the BBQ Bays at £10/person or the all inclusive at £18?

That sounds good, there are 3 of us so if you could bring 14 we are well over half way there (I think 30 is the max but obviously it has to be worthwhile so not sure what the minimum is).

I was thinking along the lines of the all inclusive (should have stated that). I can easily drink more than £8 worth of alcohol

BUMP!

Any more interested in this, AI boat trip Sunday 4th August?

Also could ask for JT or one of the girls to confirm this would be ok and what is the minimum qty of people? Also if there is another AI boat trip planned around this date we could join?

If we don't get the quantities or interest I might have to book with Cap'n BS...

Cheers

Hi Justin

I have spoke to the a few of the others and they would prefer an earlier trip, maybe Friday the 2nd as some are going to try and get a few trips in over the 13 days and they want two boat trips, one in week one and one in week two.

Also a question for the girls, is the AI trip still a lazy day style boat trip, as people on my group are not into the blaring music and party style boat trip.

I don't have a problem with Friday 2nd if that's better for you and I too am not into the loud blaring music thing (even though I run my own mobile disco business lol).

Yeah we had a good one last year (August), it was a lovely relaxing day and there were loads of forum members (plus friends and families) on the boat including Sami, Misty Sunshine, Dodge & Cockney Boy to name a few...

Haven't seen anything on here from some of these members for a while - I do hope they are ok (maybe they are trying somewhere different this year or worse still - can't afford it :( )

No worries Dodge, I think Dave and his family & friends are looking at booking 2 boat trips, one I assume will be after the 4th.

I was going to do 2 boat trips but instead we are going to do the Akyaka trip and Dalyan mud bath tour - will probably book these in resort when we get there.

Also going to book a jeep safari through ICR and looking at a water park but going to try Aqua Dream this year (I think ICR only do Atlantis where we went last year but if they also do the Aqua Dream we will probably book through ICR)

Hi Justin,
Not been on here since last year as my daughter (who was on the boat trip) has been unwell. She had a brain tumour aged 13 and was doing really well but unfortunately it came back and after being monitored for a few months it needed removing. Its all been removed (two big operations) and she is now on the road to recovery. We couldn't book a holiday at the start of the year, as we weren't sure if she would be ok. Hubby then surprised me last week and has booked us two weeks at Oludeniz (as we are going with family who wanted to try there apparently). Although I'm happy to be going on holiday, I was hoping he had booked for Icmeler but after the year we've had, two weeks in the sun in Turkey sounds fab! Looking to book Icmeler next year though, as we have been going there for years and we love the place.
I have loads of happy memories of last year, as we had such a good time. The boat trip was eventful - I got bit in the sea if you remember! I hope you all have a fab time on holiday regardless of where you're going. It feels so nice to be able to say we are ok to go on our hols :D

Hi Misty (sorry forgot your real name lol)

Wow, what a year but glad you're daughter is recovering and that everything is ok. That was very nice of your husband and I'm sure the sun will do you the world of good (everything always seems better in the sun).

Thanks for getting in touch and who knows, maybe we will see you in Icmeler one year (not sure I can persuade the wife to put off her new kitchen and bathroom for a 3rd year though - so maybe we will be back in 2015)

All the best to you and your family
