Where is the best place to eat proper mess
Having tried most of the restaurants in and around town where is the best for an evening of pure Turkish meze indulgence

Have to say Hanedan - their mezes are fantastic, a meal in themselves. Lots of variety too - not just the lavash bread and usual dips. Lovely...

Selam do a lovely meze and the content of everything offered is explained to you when it is served- lovely. Mouth watering at the thought.

Whereabouts are the two restaurants as it would make a change to get some good quality meze

Hanedan is just up past Romance Palace on the same side of the road - you will also get good authentic Turkish food, including mezes, at Meryem Yemek Evi, which is almost opposite it. Selam is on the same road as the Selen II Hotel and Holiday Restaurant. From the PTT, if you walk up that main road then along where the Tansas supermarket is, take the little side road between the Red Lion and Kardelen and you will find Selam on the left hand side.

For Hanedan and Meryem, keep walking along past the Tansas and take the road up the side of Azra jewellers towards the old village. You will see Romance Palace on your right, and they are just up a bit from there, almost opposite one another.

Went to Hanedan for the first time last year and had an amazing time ( no chips and no hassle ) ,we asked for a selection of meze for 4 to start the meal when it came there was so much, and so various, and delicious we couldnt eat the meal that arrived next so be warned.
Next time we will just order the meze.
