Grand aquarium

Postby jonnyb19782 » 20 Jun 2013 09:49

Looking to stay here for 3 weeks in July/August 2014. 2 adults and 2 kids.

Im worried it will be too far from the main resort. Has anyone had any problems?

We stayed at the pinewood a couple of years back with a 5 year old and he would not walk due to the heat so getting the the main centre and back was a pain.

With the grand aquarium, it has more facilities for the kids so dont think we would have to venture out as much. He will be 8 next year also.

Any advice welcome.

Hi Jonnyb,

We are going to Grand Aquarium for the second time this year from 29th July to 12th August.

We went last year around the same time and we had no problem walking into the town centre even in the 40+ heat but there is always the Dolmus which stops just outside Tommy's bar (great food by the way) and was 1.5TL last year (might have increased this year but I can't see it being more than 2TL). Walking takes no more than 20-25 minutes (and that's going quite slow - we don't rush on holiday lol).

The hotel is fantastic and great for the children and the staff are all excellent.

The activities on offer (for adults & children) are: Killer Pool, Killer Darts, Aqua Gym, Water Polo, Kids Disco and they also have Playstations which you pay a small fee to use. You wouldn't really need to go out much if you don't want to.

The drinks are fairly cheap, as is the food and the portions are huge and delicious. You get a free large flat bread with chilli and garlic dips for free with every meal too.

Just for info, my daughter was 15 last year and she (and I) were always up dancing with the guys for the kids disco lol. My wife would just sit and laugh...lol

You'll love it, I promise, here is my review from last year: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=16463
