SOOO pleased for him he was wasted in the bag shop and opticians - we have known him since 1994 and his qualities and personality are more suited to restaurants :-))

It still amuses me how 'versatile' the Turkish people are! One season they can be running a restaurant and 'the best restaurant in the resort', the next season they are a jeweller! One season they are selling handbags, the next they are running a restaurant!! No offense to anyone, and you have to appreciate their tenacity, but you also have to question our naivety. We have been visiting Turkey for many years and still love it, but we appreciate it for what it is and that's different to how we first perceived it. Having said that, we still go back twice a year so whatever they are doing, it can't be that wrong! Good luck to them, they work long hours and on the whole deserve any success they achieve, no one ever got anything from sitting on their backside. Good luck Alex in your new venture....he will now be cooking the cow instead of using it's hide to make handbags
