ICR excursions

Postby x-raki-girl-x » 21 Jan 2013 11:40

Just wondering if anyone has been on the ICR turkish night?

Isit the same as the ones in the hotels and restaurants or is there more to it?

Has anyone been on the quad safari? any views?

Fancy trying these in august.

Quad safari is great fun and very well run. All on purpose built tracks around woodland. Only downside I found was the hard sell on the massively overpriced photos at the end.

Similar to Jeep Safari I guess, advisable not to take camera as you get drenched. We did buy the 2 DVD's at the end though. Main gripe was they 'hired' you big water pistols for 20TL each - mine didn't even work properly so ended up throwing buckets of water at the other jeeps...

I thought we'd bought them, then they took them off us halfway through :(

Actually, thinking about it, might have even been £20 each for the water pistols - can't honestly remember...

Was still great fun though and will do it again, but might take our own water guns next time :)

We paid 10 lire hire charge per gun in 2011 didn't go on one this year, we were only given them during the offroad sections.

Looking forward to another Jeep Safari in August, it will be our 9th, for me it never gets boring if you have a good crowd on the other jeeps.

It may well have been in Lira then but it was definitely 20 TL each which I thought was a bit of a rip off - oh I almost forgot, meal was included but chips were 5TL extra lol

But you're right, they are good fun and everyone seems to enjoy it. Can be a bit tiring - I somehow managed to fall asleep on the way back lol

At 20 Lira per gun I will be haggling, there will be 11 of us, if they don't do a deal then they can keep there guns.
