If anyone sees...

Postby Kneale » 04 Sep 2012 08:39

... a man with a cast on his left arm next week in Icmeler, be sure to say hello and try to cheer me up. I'm due to fly out to Icmeler on Saturday and I fell off my cycle and fractured my wrist last night! Going to the fracture clinic tomorrow morning and hopefully they will give me the all clear to fly. Can't imagine wearing a cast in the heat and I'll have to sit at the edge of the pool with my arm on the side!

Sorry to hear about your accident but dont worry, what better place to sit and recover than in the sun in Icmeler. Keep on drinking the efes and dipping your good bits into the water and you will have a great recuperation

If you explain that you are going on holiday and the facture is not too bad ask if they will give you one of these

You should be able to swim in it and take it off to dry when your arm is in a resting position, in fact ask for two so you have one for the wet and one for the dry.

Amazon and Boots sell a cover for plaster casts that allow you to go swimming-

As long as it's not your Efes drink lifting arm and if it is you will have to learn to be ambidextrous  I am sure you will have a great time plastercast or not.

I got one of those Velcro splints in the photo above, I was made up when the consultant told me I didn't need a cast.

my little brother done this a few weeks ago before flying to bulgaria. Lucky enough they changed it to a splint the day before he went. if you do have to keep the plaster on, you can buy like a plastic bag from the pharmacy which enables you to go in the pool and the sea :D
