transfer from airport, what to do

Hi
We have our transfer with thomsons from the airport to apts.

Do we stick with this or maybe payout for a transfer to get there quicker.

We land at 10.30pm, not sure how long visa /passport/luggage collect will take but
worried with all drop off's we might not get to the apts till 2am..

Would a different transfer be better/quicker and worth spending out?

Hi, if you get a private transfer(ICR for example) you will probably get straight on your car/mpv and be in resort about 1 hour quicker but it will still mean you wont get to your hotel till 01.00 so really what benefit would there be,except for 1hr extra sleep, if it was a day flight thats different an hour quicker in the bar.....choice is yours, personally i get a private transfer regardless of time, i just like the ease of it.Rog.

Hi jo, agree with kentcabbie. It is a much more relaxed and quicker transfer to the resort using private transfers. After a long day and flight i just want to get to Icmeler as quickly as possible. Also because of the location of I cmeler after Marmaris the travel companys transfers will drop folk off in all the hotels in Marmaris first, so the journey time can double or even treble. I have heard of four hour transfer times before. Money well spent on private transfer, but make sure you let thomsons know

Personally I'd book a private, or at least a shared shuttle, but that's just cause it's so long and boring dropping lots of people off when I just want to get there. Not so bothered what time we arrive cause we always dump cases and go wandering, regardless of the time, it's just that sitting on a coach for hours after sitting on a plane for hours, I can't bear it!

A private transfer is worth every penny - quicker, more comfortable and you'll gain at least an hour in precious holiday time

Think you may have persuaded me.. As if we have a good quick flight we could be in apts by 12.30am or with thom transfer around about 2am

We used ICR for transfers this year and would recommend them. We were in the resort an hour 40 minutes after collecting our suitcases

hi there, we land at 10pm next Satursday 18th and have had our private transfer booked since Feb !!! it took over 3 hours last year!!! definatly book a private transfer. We are with Thomsons too.

How did you let thomson know? Sorry to ask so much i have never

Hi Pinna when we went in June we booked private transfer with ICR, second time we have used them and would use them again, we landed at 4pm and were on the minibus by 4.45 arrived in Icmeler at 6.15 and were sitting in Tandoori sizzler by 7.15pm.
We were also booked on a package with Thomsons on arrival we just went to the Thomson rep and told her we had a private transfer both ways, also reminded the rep at the apartments that we didnt need return transfer
