I did wonder this too last year, but having been to icmeler in August I know one thing, it's way too hot for mountain biking for me.

Yes you can, quite a number of places have different types of bikes to hire, seen mountain bikes at the hire place a couple of doors down from friar tucks, same road as Tansas, opposite Babadan hotel. We'll be hiring in August - will help to create a bit of a breeze going a bit faster than a walking pace!
