HEALTH/TRAVEL INSURANCE

Postby Roy » 26 Jul 2012 17:55

Hi All,
Trustingly once again I find myself asking the advice of forum members; just been having a right royal rumble about insurance renewal & finding that I would not be covered although policy in force, yet nothing the insurance company can provide suits or costs an absolute fortune. What are the options, without being personal or singling individuals what do people who stay for 3 months or more do for cover?
If anyone who can offer advice due to personal confidentiality anyone, i.e. JT or Peli for example could e-mail me I would be extremely grateful.
Does residency provide any answers? I really need to find out more. It all seems to beggar belief considering working in the NHS & honestly never even had one day off sick in more than 20 years.
Grateful.

Roy

Turkey is not in the EU so no free medical services

Try a back packers insurance though I think if you go back to the place of origin it is forfeited

If you intend to stay in Turkey as a resident then Yapi Kredi do a medical insurance, not a holiday insurance but heart failure or cancer in the first year is not supported nor are any medical problems you already have

There is also the governments own but I think was pricey unless you were a retired couple and I think then it was a very good price
