Try the Aqua. ICR have this hotel on their list so it might be worth looking them up for next years bookings.

I am at the Siesta Hotel all inclusive now but too soon for a definitive review now. I will post this later.

Yes, I've heard L'etoile is very good. The pool area looks nice too there.

The Vela in the square seems to be a lot cheaper than the others and the reviews are quite good

Stayed at the Vela last year and returning again next week. We were very pleased with the hotel, quality of the rooms and the staff.

I've stayed at L'Etoile a few times, but won't go back again. The pool does look nice, BUT try getting a sunbed. If I were you. I would go for the Aqua. Entertainment in L'Toile is rubbish for kids.

Vela looks really nice and is compared to the others mentioned, it well priced. Aqua is lovely but is fairly expensive and OP was looking for a cheapish AI

It all depends on what you want out of the hotel

If it is just a base, a room to sleep in aand a drink at the pool then go for the cheaper option but some of the cheaper all in hotels in Icmeler are not where I would stay myself if I was looking for a holiday in an all inclusive

I used to pop to Benidorm a few times through the winter and stay at the Flamingo Oasiswhich was the best, I never really stopped to eat and drink just used as a base but hwmbo liked it so that was that

If I wanted a nice all in, in Icmeler then it would be Marti or Aqua but would only spend that mucj money if I was prepared to stay in there and use the bar which has top shelf drinks included and a 2am bar

Mirage has a 24 hour bar so lots of people who like a good drink head for that one

All depends on what you want out of the holiday

We stayed in the E'Lotile in may and june this year. This is the truth and nothing but the truth.
Bar/ one efes pump, 3 choices of shorts and one barrel of red wine and one barrel of white which you serve yourself.
Food /is pretty good , a bit repeatitive but i had no complaints
Pool/ this is the downside .. you have to get up at summat o clock to get a sunbed , even though there is a notice you cannot put towels on them until 7, people were at the pool at 5.30 in the morning and staying with their towels, the sunbeds are pratically on top of each other.(we went to the beach everyday,)
Staff/ very good and friendly
Hotel/ Its classed as a 4 star .. i would rate it as 3 to be honest.
The Aqua is far better, which we could,t get into.
We still had a great holiday , but we love Icmeler.
And we are booking with I.C.R. next year and going self catering because we love doing our own thing
We made lots of new friends and are meeting up this weekend .Another reason we love it there.

We have stayed at the AQUA 3 times and at Marti Grande this year, for overall service, I would say AQUA, however the Marti has more for children, bigger grounds and great pool and a much more 5* feel. Food is great at both hotels as are the rooms and general public areas, beaches just across the promanade.

You choose as both cracking places to stay :D

The OP is looking for a good CHEAP AI so that probably rules out the beach front hotels.

Would not recommend the Vela as although they do have a small splash pool and a large swimming pool there is no shallow end in the large pool and this would probably not be suitable for your grandchildren. Vela is a good hotel and would recommend as i stayed there last year.
