Transfer from Dalaman to Grand Aquarium

How long (roughly) does it take to get from Dalaman airport to Grand Aquarium on the outskirts of Icmeler?

I know it can depend on the number of drops on the way. It is a transfer I got with TC so I reckon it will be a mini-bus/Dolmus sized bus if last year was anything to go by.

It's just that we land in Dalaman at 3:55 am so my thinking was by the time we've collected luggage, checked out & sourced transfer transport we'll be lucky to get to the hotel for breakfast time lol

You say you've not been to Icmeler before, but I don't know if you have been to Marmaris, the reason I say is that you go through Marmaris to get to Icmeler. Your transfer is by T.C. so after getting on the coach its 1hour 20 mins, plus half hour comfort stop, then any drop offs in Marmaris, so you could be looking at 4hours, that gets you to Icmeler at around 8.30am. It all depends on the Drop Off's, only T.C. knows. That is why people, including myself, get private transfers. There is NO comfort stop, unless you ask, I myself use ICR, some say expensive, but Excellent value, you are in the resort in 1hour 30 mins, No stops......

Thnaks for the reply Steve, no I've not been to Marmaris either. Went to Turkey last year but that was Akyarlar and landed in Bodrum Airport.

4 hours you say (depending on drops) - phew! - at least I may get some sleep on the transport as I suspect we'll be one of the last drops (if not THE last drop).

If I'd known about this site at the time of booking I would've booked a private transfer but already paid for the TC one so will just use that - hey, you live and learn I guess.

Just a note about Dalaman airport on return,, there are two x ray machines, one on entry and one after check in,,, at the second all water and drinks are taken from you and prices are stupid. I found that between the two machines there are seats, where you can finish your drinks etc.,,, before going through to duty free,,, also see your apartments for sandwiches for your plane journey,,,

we were last in icmeler about 5 years ago and to be honest i can not remember going through Marmaris at all to get to Icmeler
i remember coming along the side of the mountain and looking down to see Icmeler?
like the first photo here on this website http://looklex.com/turkey/icmeler.htm
we didn't stop for a break either where as the previous year when we stayed in marmaris, we did have a ''toilet stop''
anyway it took us about 1hr 30mins approx but like others have said it depends on how many stops are before your hotel, and i guess on the driver/travel agent who is taken you

It also depends if you have the couple whose luggage has failed to turn up, or the family who decided in the end to get a private transfer but didn't tell the rep so the coach waited for over an hour while the rep was looking for them,

Private transfers for me everytime.

just got home tonight from the grand had private transfer with dm transfers and took 1hr 30 mins no stops
