we always stay in icmeler for 9 days and 9 days in oul deniz every year.

we are going in july and the cheapest way to go and comfort is by taxi from icmeler online. It is costing us £60 which takes one and half hours to get there down to the beach area.

Olu deniz is superb for beach area and paragliding and well worth doing a 2 centre stay like we do.

Book flights for 16 days and book two hotels via med hotels and taxi trasfer via icmler online. Dead easy

need any more help let me know

thanks dave

As Dave said we can arrange the transfer for you.

We can also arrange the flights and the accommodations in both resorts

Hi All, I am going to Icmeler in September and I have a relative with a villa in Olu Deniz (they stay for the whole season in Turkey....lucky so and so's) who has asked us to go and see them for a couple of days.

Does anyone know the easiest way to get there from Icmeler as it seems quite a jaunt looking at the map? Was hoping there may be a water taxi?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Mandy

Hi mandywag and welcome to the forum

We got a taxi one-way from Hisaronu, which is near Olu Deniz to Icmeler two years ago (long story) and it cost us £80. Think you could possibly get a dolmus from Marmaris to Fethiye, then one to Olu Deniz, but like Ron said, maybe ICR could sort out something for you.

I have done that journey and it is quite a long one,an over night stop would be better. You need a dolmus from icmeler to marmaris then from there a dolmus to Fetiye and then a dolmus to Olu Deniz unless ICR can help with a direct and quicker journey.
Hope you get sorted

Hi All, thanks for your input. I can't drive so car hire is not an option. I will look into it more when we get into resort I think.....or I maybe cheeky and ask if they can drive down to fetch us !

Hi Mandywag we stayed in Hisaronu a couple of years ago, but the other half had to have her fix of Icmeler so we booked 3 nights and then worried about getting from one to the other once we arrived in Turkey. We asked our travel rep how much they would charge and they wanted £80 each. Way to much thinks the other half, so we asked the locals for advice. Here goes, working in reverse of your journey. Got dolmus to Fetheye,3 lira, then airconditioned coach to Marmaris coach station, 20 lira , dolmus to center Marmaris, 1.5 lira, then dolmus to Icmeler 2.5 lira, total cost 27 lira approx. So total return trip cost 54 lira £22.50 each. The Turkish coach system is brill, they come round with free water and lemon balm to keep you refreshed ,and including toilet stops it took 3.5 hours from one hotel to the other, but best of all a whopping £57.50 each saving from what the rep wanted. As with anything in Turkey it pays to shop around.

I agree with madmackem the bus service is excellent. We used it a couple of years ago to get to Bodrum where we had friends staying. No need to pay the 1.5YTL to get from Marmaris Bus Station to the centre of Marmaris there is a service bus that will shuttle you to the centre of Marmaris, behind Tansas, free of charge. Runs about every 10 minutes. It is a dolmus with all the different destinations written on the side.

You can either give ICR a ring or email them, betty - if you click on the Icmeler Online Holidays link at the top of the page, all the details will be there.
