Portofino Hotel - any views?

Just found a right bargain for September, but it's got some dodgy reviews - I'm not that bothered about the content of their AI, just the accomodation. Does anyone have any experience of this hotel, particularly the roof rooms?

Please DO NOT stay there. I stayed there after finding a great deal myself. Worst mistake of my life! The rooms are disgusting! Showers ice cold all day every day, Bed was broken and they would not move us.When we arrived the bathroom was rotten with dirty Wet floors, the bed sheets where stained and the staff....one word Ignorant! Please find ur self alternative hotel it really is A dump. One day someone had taken a poo in the pool, we informed staff who Wer not interested and it remained there all day. Need I say more?

i would NEVER return to that place even if it was free. im desperate to find a holiday myself for sep but id rather sleep on the streets than return there. Fingers crossed we both find a good deal in a nice hotel

There are some cracking prices around, not least of which are on here - just waiting on OH getting in from work to see where he wants to stay, then I'll book I think. We'll be there for my birthday so perhaps I might get to choose!

good luck hope u find somewhere good, but saying that any hotel will be a huge improvement on the portofino
