If anyone needs shoes repairing, or made to measure, the cobbler from the little alleyway near Yasmin jewellers is now in the underground market. I had badly scuffed the heels of my really comfy sandals, and I asked him if he could do anything with them. I expected him to sand them down and stain them, but 2 hours later they were returned to me with leather covered silver heels to match the straps. He charged me 10tl. I've thrown shoes away in the past because of the cost of having them repaired here, but in future they'll be going to Icmeler with me. He repaired some flat sandals for me last year when the upper came away from the sole, and they are still going strong.

He had a little shop up an alley next to Yasmin Jewellers, behind, I think, Coco Beach. Can't remember ever seeing another one anywhere.

This guy used to be in the row of stalls down from the Blue Rainbow. Made a pair of sandals for the wife, 2008 I think, which she still wears regularly, and fixed a pair of mine (Clarks) that fell apart on first wear. Highly recommended, he's a big soccer follower and Besiktas fan.

We have had shoes and sandals made by Jemıal (Whıte Rose) he used to be down at canal but now ın underground market the cost ıs 120tl. Excellent servıce and I would recommend to anyone who has problems gettıng shoes to fıt.

I have a good pair of sandals which need velcro fastening replaced, need to be stitched on - do you think he could do that? Did have a quick look in the underground market for him the other morning but no sign of him.

I'm sure he could. He was in the underground market, the first entrance by the chinese as you come from Ambience going towards Cafe Anne, about half way along on the right hand side. I'm not sure if he's there every day as we didn't see him the first time we went.

I had some beautiful sandals made by him last week, £40, made to measure, all leather - I liked some sandals he had outside and then spotted some lime green leather (my favourite colour) - he changed the design a bit for me so I have my very own pair of unique designer shoes! Will defo be back there next time, he's a nice man and by the look of what he had in to repair he can work miracles
