Bal apartments

Postby paulandbex » 07 Jun 2012 19:33

Well we have 6 weeks til our holiday to Icmeler and I cannot believe how excitied I am :D

Our first holiday nearly 17 years ago was to Gumbet Turkey and I fell in love with Turkey.

This year we are coming back to Turkey but Icmeler and whoop we cannot wait.

We will be coming with our 13 year old daughter and 5 year old son.

I have a couple of questions if anyone can help:
- We will be staying at the Bal apartments any feedback would be great. It's a small complex but reviews on trip advisor have been great.

- Is Icmeler child friendly or is it more centred for couples from young to older couples?

- Any useful tips/advice would be much appreciated

Re the Bal apartmants. Brilliant, we will be staying there for the fourth time in September. Spotlessly clean, relatively quiet, nice and spacious and exceptionally friendly.
Eddie is an absolute diamond. His Turkish/BBQ night is well worth the money and a great "night in" so to speak. Pool cleaned every day BUT has no shallow end.....One depth all round. Snacks at the bar are nice and sensibly priced as are Eddies drinks.
Basics such as water, milk, loo rolls are available from reception and Eddie is helped by two staff, Mustapha (daytime) and Soner (night) and his family.
Can't speak highly enough of this place......Hope you enjoy as much as we do.

Hi Pops

Thanx for posting.

We are really excited and the more reviews we read the more the excitement grows as they are great reviews.

My only litle worry is that children are not mentioned a lot and know children are not everyones cup of tea lol. Is it child friendly during the school holidays do you know? :)

Just hope the 6 weeks do not drag by :D

hi my wife and i have stayed at the Bal 3 times, and it is brill, spotlesly clean, pool cleaned every day, rooms cleaned everyday, food and drinks at the bar are reasonable prices and the food is good. Try the turkish pizza, they are brought in from out side, just ask eddie, he will make you chips aswell ready for when the pizza comes, it is towards the back of the old village on Sokak 27, if you look on the google map of icmeler, look to the left side of the map. I cannot recomend this place highly enough, the only reason we dont stop there anymore is that the price went up such alot, but we did get a bargain the first time we went, so i think i was spoiled £155 each for a week, but it was about 5 or 6 years ago, but i still keep looking for a bargain to the Bal, when you go take Eddie a box of biscuits, the wife says it may be scottish short bread biscuits. He will be your friend for life. Eddie is a very quiet man but he is extremly helpfull and nothing is to much trouble. We have been to turkey 10 or 11 times, 6 or 7 times to icmeler, 3 timmes to the bal, and of all the places we have been the bal is the best.
by the way Bal means Hooney in english
enjoy your stay, if you want any more info pm me
