If it was me I would like to be pointed to the reviews so I can print them out and take to the travel agent to try and change hotel.

Depends on the travel company, he may need to pay extra but thats better than a ruined holiday.

It was one of the first hotels we stayed in, and it was absolutely awful. Try and get it changed If I was you.

we stayed at pineta last year. It was not as bad as I expected and I would go back again. Our room was comfortable and as we had a family room we had a double room and a separate room with two single beds. Rooms were cleaned much more than we are used to in Turkey and from what we saw everywhere was clean and for the price we paid better than expected. What let the hotel down was the other guests staying in the hotel shouting and swearing, playing music late in their room and have no respect for the other guests. There were birds in the area where the afternoon snack was served but as in most places in Turkey these places are open and if the guests didnt try and feed them then they wouldnt come. They however caused no problems. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pools and entertainment by them was really good for kids and big kids (my husband). On the whole I would say the good far out weighed the bad. If you go expecting 5 star you wont get it. However their sister hotel across the road Pineta Delux is much nicer although I gather from some of the guests we spoke to the food is the same in both hotels. We had a look around Delux before we left and it was beautiful. We would have stayed there again this year but we miss Icmeler too much so are back home this year. If it isnt possible to change I personally wouldnt be too worried.

thank you yellowflower they may be old pictures it might have changed and some people like to complain for the sake of complaining in the reviews alsong is somewer is clean and staff are nice then it doesnt really bother me ill tell him what you said and you do have a point about people feeding birds it did say the entertainment was really good so i suppose it has its plus side if you have a look on tripadvisor some of the pictures are really bad hopefully they have sorted the problems thanks for your post

depends on how the hotel is advertised on the website or brochure of the travel company
they have to watch due to European regulations that they are accurate in the information they provide
if the hotel turns out to be nothing like the pictures or information the consumer is entitled to all their money back from the travel company
hope this helps

Hi iainedinburgh
When reading reviews of holidays/hotels always bear in mind how peoples minds work... If you go on holiday and have a great time, you come home tell everybody about it but possibly don't think to sit down and write on websites how good the hotel/holiday was. However if you have a terrible holiday/hotel the first thing you do is go online to tell the whole world. Therefore there are often more negative reviews than positive. The Pineta Club Hotel is a large hotel catering for a large capacity of guests on a budget. I'm sure if you were to look at how much was paid for the holiday then take off the cost of flights and the transfers and then divide it by the number of people in your party and the number of nights stay and I think you will be shocked at how little you are paying per person per night tp stay in an All Inclusive Hotel and remember the travel agent will take a proportion of that money for their fee so the hotel gets very little. Some times people expect a lot from a hotel for very little money. Go with an open mind instead of expecting the worst and I am sure they will have an enjoyable holiday. Just remember if you have a great time write a review :)
