Hi , do all bars and restaurants , prefere to take sterling than the local currency ?? can you use £5 pound notes ???

Take Sterling with you and change it into Turkish Lira in the supermarkets....You could pay in the Bars in £'s but any change will be giving in TL and it could work out to be more expensive after price had been rounded up.

I agree, change your money first as you may not know the rate you will get at the restaurant.

you can use sterling and in any denomination but ask their exchange rate before you go in. youll find its a lot less than changing at a supermarket.
