You have no protection if after you transfer money they then go bust. Many people lost money when this happened with Crown currency.

used them numerous times and generally they do offer amongst the highest exchangerates. The rate in Icmeler is usually slightly higher than the best rates in the UK

I've used them a few times and collected it at the airport with no problems.

That's a very good rate JT but will it hold out until August?

Rew think you may have used Travelex, because as far as I am aware Travel FX do not have any collection points they are an on line business. You pay by bank transfer, internet or telephone banking, BACS, CHAPS or directly over the bank counter in to their account.

If you read their small print, you'll see that clients money is held in a separate account from their trading account so that should they go bust then customers money is safe....well, at least thats my take on it.

I've used them often with no problem, and would recommend them, best rates around.

The only downside is that you can't pay by card, it has to be by bank transfer but as most folk have online banking nowadays this shouldn't be a problem.

The reason people lost so much on CC was because they 'betted' on geting a good rate at some point in the future. Therefore, they held a lot of peoples money who weren't due to get their currency for months.

With TravelFX, the simple and sensible option is to request next day delivery. Reports of the company struggling will be reported long before you would place an order for next day delivery ;) They are not 100% safe I suppose (they could do a moonlight flit) but the fact money passes so quickly through their hands suggests there isn't much to fear.
