diva?????

Postby carol0912 » 04 May 2012 11:55

Was browsing some travel sites and was looking at Diva hotel on Th.... Co..
It looks amazing!!
Wee question?
We stayed there not so long ago and it didn't look like this.
Has it been done up to a great standard or are the travel company hoodwinking people
Thought it was more than basic when we were there, but if it looked this good we would go again.
Anyone have any info???????
Cheers :D

See what you mean Carol. Just had a look at the pictures you have obviously seen and the Diva certainly didnt look like that when I stayed there! The 2 best things about the Diva are the location and the Chef restaurant. The rooms certainly didnt look like that!

Yes. The position of this hotel is perfect and the chef restaurant is great but the rooms are nothing to write home about.
We got a great deal couple years ago -£199 each on 7thJuly flying from Prestwick for 2 weeks.
The whole transfer bus was going to the Diva. Took hours to book us all in, but we had a great room, overlooking the pool on the first floor. Great for people watching. It also had a great pool area and the cafe bar was great to round of the night.
Think if they done the rooms up with new shower rooms and furniture they could get more money for rental.
I would book again if this happened as, I said before, great position :D :D

The pictures on that website are not the Diva in Icmeler. Whoever books this who has not been to Icmeler before will be very disappointed when they see the real Diva!

Similar thing happened to us two years ago. We always go to Goa after the new year and had usually stayed at the same hotel. When we went to book, the travel agent showed us some pictures of the bedrooms, which were completely different from when we had stayed there the year before. After getting her to check she assured us that all the rooms had been revamped and modernised.
When we got there and checked in to our rooms the bedrooms and en-suites were still the same as the last time we had stayed.
Got home and complained and got £650 back from tour operator!!

Those rooms look gorgeous but the outside photo of the hotel had a sign Hotel Divas.
Does anyone know where the hotel Divas is?
