Just back.....

Postby Me » 23 Oct 2006 20:23

Hello everybody!

Just back on Saturday morning. :( Stayed in the Juniper hotel , it was a bit tired but clean and the staff were great (for the money we payed it was worth it)
We had a great week in Icmeler. We ate in Ozzys in the old village on the first night. We also went to Venice......The 3 Bells (had the biggest yorkshire pudding in the world for Sunday lunch).....The Wayside....and the Loveboat.
On the day of the "big storm" we had booked to go on the 5 bays boat trip.We had the option to cancel but thought what the hell go for it and it turned out one of the best days out we have had in Icmeler. We also went to Talk of the town in Marmaris which was a really good night out .
We met up with Sharon and Tracy in Vinces bar on Sunday night.
It was really nice to see them both.
p.s. Transfers were spot on well done ICR

Just back

Postby pussycat » 31 Oct 2006 09:16

Just back from another fantastic week in Icmeler. Weather was great. Not a cloud in the sky for the whole week. Spent time on the beach every day.

We stayed at the Belle Vue this time. In a great position very handy for the beach, shops and bars. Hotel was basic but very clean, so no complaints there.

We took my son and his wife and granchild this time as they have never been to Icmeler or anywhere in Turkey before. My daughter and her boyfriend also came, but they come twice a year like me.

Icmeler was fairly quiet, but it was the last week of the season, so it was expected really, but the people were as friendly as ever, that is something that never changes even in mid summer when it is buzzing.

Some of our favourite bars were closed, but we ate at the Chef, Titanic, Champagne bar, Florida, Venice, and the Baron and we weren,t disappointed with any of the meals. We were going to go back to the Champage bar for another meal, but unfortunately they closed last Thursday. The best breakfast was at the Travellers Rest, followed by the Majestic.

Visited the market on Wednesday and my son bagged some bargains, he thought it was great.

Came back early hours Monday morning so thats it for another year. I think my son might have caught the bug, he said Turkey wasn't what he imagined it to be and now he knows why we come back twice a year. My grandson who is six didn't want to go home and asked if he can come back.

Thats it for this year but looking forward to next year. Will have to get booking something and then we will have something to look forward to.

Carol.
