Don't know what a tennis bracelet is but if you want a recommendation for an excellent jewellers you won't get better than Firuze. We have bought many items from them including diamond rings, chains and bracelets. This year my mother having seen the lovely jewellery that I've bought from Murat and Sona over the years asked me to buy a white gold bracelet for her, which she is delighted with. There is never any pressure to buy and you always get a lovely welcome. The first few times we went to Icmeler we tried a few different jewellers but now would not go anywhere else.

Don't know how well you know your way around Içmeler but you'll find Firuze on the map on

There are many good jewellers in Icmeler and we all have our favourites. I always buy from Star Gold & Silver and have been delighted with quality, price and service. This jewellers is in a back street and does not have a posh showroom but has a workshop on the premises and is owned by a lovely couple. They also cater for tourists wishing to take back inexpensive jewellery as a gift.

Just had a look at tennis bracelets, I didn't know that that was what they were called, they are beautiful though. When I bought the bracelet for my mother, Murat and Sona in Firuze didn't have exactly what she wanted so they had it couriered from Istanbul for me and it arrived quickly as well. Excellent service and she's already thinking about what she'd like to have me bring back for her next year.

Has anyone any idea of roughly how much a Tennis Bracelet costs? I appreciate the cost will be based on what the diamonds weigh but an average cost would be helpful.

To compare you also need to compare the diamonds because of what they call the cut, colour, clarity and carat. For example the clarity is the degree a diamond is free of blemishes and inclusions (blemishes are external - such as scratches, small nicks and inclusions are within the stone which have a greater impact on value). Because of this you can have a small diamond that's worth much more than a larger one. It's going to be very difficult do make a true comparison. As a family we have bought quite a number of diamonds including earrings, rings etc and are more than happy with the prices that we have paid. I don't really see how you can go around different jewellers and compare as you won't have the detailed information on the diamonds.

The best that I can suggest is that you use a recommended jeweller. We once bought a diamond ring from a jeweller in Icmeler and when we had it valued for insurance purposes (the info given from the jeweller is not enough for insurance purposes) it was valued at the price we paid. Whilst we didn't lose on it, the jeweller had said that it was worth three times as much.

I agree with peevo there is a difference in the jewellers and we only buy from Firuze. They're also a family business run by Murat and Sona and you're guaranteed a good welcome whether you buy or not.
