Dilhan - September

Postby david_uk » 17 Aug 2011 18:57

After visiting Icmeler in July for the first time in July the 'Three Brothers' are returning on September 16 for 7 days. This time with a 'Sister'. We stopped at the Selen2 last time excellent place but simply for a change of scenary were stopping at the Dilhan.

If anyone has any feedback on the Dilhan then I'd appreciate it.

Cheers

Oz the barman is fantastic! Always at night after people have been out and about you can sit up til the small hours and be entertained by the great man Oz!Most folks who are staying there will frequent the bar late at night and early evening and so its a nice friendly atmosphere. The rooms are not great and I think on one review I posted about it being the worst Turkish breakfast anywhere but lets face it the breakfasts are really cheap and Vince is two mins walk. The location is great! You will have a great time! :D

Super friendly, super clean, super convenient but also super basic.

Personally I love the place.

We are staying at the Dilhan now, last night then home tomorrow.
Rooms are basic, but they have a bed, shower & balcony.
Our room has been cleaned every day without fail, incredibly clean.
The staff are amazing, and will bend over backwards for you.
As for oz the barman. Quite possibly the nicest guy we've ever met. He's friendly, incredibly funny and his jokes will have u laughing in to the small hours of the morning.
The Turkish breakfast consists of fresh bread, butter, cheese, local jams, olives, boiled eggs, cucumber, tomato, tea, coffee & juice. It's fine if you like them things. But then the buffalo is just round the corner and they do 2 full English brekkies for 5tl!!! Not even 90p each!! But the Dilhan will also do you a lovely cooked breakfast if you ask.
It might not be a 5 star hotel, but it's 10 star for service & super friendly service.
We will be back here next year.

Thanks for your responses.

As long as its got a bed then I'm happy from a room point of view! I agree it's more to do with the service than anything else!

If anyone is staying at the Dilhan from 16/9 for the week then shout up we're a friendly bunch!

Cheers
