Charlies Place opposite Alins Grill

Postby amypiggott » 14 Aug 2011 07:45

This restaurant is a place not to be missed not only is the food excellant, but the owners staff and Charlies wife are such great people. They cannot do enough for you, and without there help when my sister in law was really very ill after she got a really bad mozie bite, these girls Alison and Christine were unbelievable ,Charlie himself took us back and forth to Marmariss hospital, visiting Marie, and helped with Insurance forms and translating problems.so can I just say a great big thankyou, to all. and please pop in and see them.

That sounds just like Charlie! We've known him for years and he'll go out of his way to help anyone. When we told him a lady in our hotel had broken her leg, he sent a car to fetch us all down to the restaurant and back. And as you say, the food is very good. We've spent many a happy hour in there. We went in for breakfast one rainy day at 10am and staggered out at 5.15pm, having been entertained by Charlie and the staff all day.

Will definetly be giving this place a shot.
Staying just a 5 minute walk away.

English breakfast has been 5YTL the last 2 years, and they do a nice packed lunch for the airport. We normally stay just over the road from here and the food is very nice.

Breakfast is really good. On my birthday, my eggs came with candles on top. They'll be seeing a lot of us in october as we're just round the corner this time, so not far to stagger back. We'll try to keep the all day breakfasts to a minimum, though.

They will look after you so well. We have known Charlie for years, and they really are a good bunch.

I didnt want much to eat one night, and asked for a small piece of plain grilled chicken and some salad.... it was served up perfectly. They also do the most gorgeous home made pasta. Cant wait to go back there very soon.
