Really depends on your skin type, I usually use a factor 20 and then after a few days I use 15, then I go as low as 8.

Personally I would never buy it in Turkey, I did once and I think it was fake.
I always take it with me from the UK.

Snakebite, we usually take a bit of 20 for sensitive areas on those first few days, then 15, down to 8 and on occasion have used cocoa/carrot oil factor 2. We never use all of the high factor stuff so wherever we've stayed/been on boats, we've been happy to share that with folk who need it.
Last year, we did a boat trip on day one but the case with the high factor stuff in didn't leave Manchester-people were falling over themselves to let us have their leftovers. Don't know what we'd have done without their generosity! Just about sums Icmeler and the atmosphere up!! Can't beat it

we use 30 for the shoulders and my heed. hairs gettin a bit sparse up there lol. 15 every where else. drop down in second week to 15 and 8.

We use factor 30 when we get there ( in fact we use factor 30 for our faces all the time we are there!)
We then go down to factor 15. We have never been too sunburned that it is painful, i don't think its worth it because by the time we come home towards the end of Sept our winter is coming so i use fake tan at home.
I am a bit scared of getting more wrinkles than i already have :(

Hi Glen
Apparently the higher the factor the better the tan. I always use factor 30 as I love the sun but don't want the skin problems that go with it! I suppose it depends on your skin type but better safe than sorry. Have a great holiday.

We always start with factor 40 and never go lower than a 30, we always come back with a good tan but never suffer from any sunburn. When its 50deg plus I like to look after my skin

Hi Snakebite, I bet you're getting excited now :)

You really should tailor your sunscreen choice to suit your own skin, what's suitable for one person can be totally inadequate for someone else.

No matter what SPF you decide on make sure you get 5* UVA protection as it's the UVA rays that do the most long term damage to your skin.

I always make sure my son uses SPF40 all the time, I use this on my face and 30 on my body.
We always tan but never burn this way, even in Turkey.

Remember it needs to be applied a good 30 minutes before you go out into the sun and regularly re-applied especially after swimming/heavy sweating.

Have a fab time, I look forward to hearing your review and seeing some piccies :-)

I've been back a couple of weeks now but when I was there, I worked up through the factors rather than the other way round. I'd taken 15, 25 & 30 as I knew it was going to be hot.

It was very hot and so I started on 15 but could feel my skin burning - not a nice feeling really. I upped it to 25 and got a really good colour, I did put some number 6 oil on my last day just to bronze up a bit but all in all I would go for the higher stuff.

A tan does make you feel so much better and the feel of the sun on your skin but at the end of the day, no one wants to be wrinkly do they!!! :)
