why do people sell these

Uggg! Dread to think, not as pets thats for sure. :D
Perhaps is for medicinal purpurses like we would use them many years ago. Hope it's not to eat, if so I will not be trying any new Turkish dishes! :lol:

I've never seen them in any market and I have been to numerous all over Turkey

I have never seen any leaches sold in the markets, suppose its another name for the stall holders who pester you :lol:

fethiye 3 years ago one old lady had 2 plastic bag with water in there were these what looked like leeches ( like a small black eel thing ) swimming around not even such if they were for sale

also went to datca around 8 years ago which is a poor area and i saw the same here but the lady only had one bag
