august beetles?

after reading johns weather report i am a bit worried about the comment august beetles, we always go in august and have never heard of these creatures! can anyone throw any light on this as we are staying in the village as we do every year and am starting to panic a bit!! thanks liz xx

As far as I'm aware you can just hear them, the first time we went I wondered what the hell the noise was.

Hi Adewolves thanks for that, as long as you only have to listen to them i dont mind but, if i see anything that resembles lots of beetles you will hear me from the village down to the beach!!!!! between them and the mossies this year my head is done in lol!!! thanks again liz x
