Beware fake vodka in icmeler

Just thought i would let you know what happened to us on our family hols this june , My youngest son and his mate had three vodka redbulls and became violently ill infact one of them stopped breathing in hospital and nearly died . What a big cover up the doctor said they had an alcohol overdose Utter rubbish you can drive in icmeler with 0.50 they had 0.86 when tested ,Please if you start to vomit then hallucinate get medical help immediatley, Dont go to the AHU Hetman hospital in marmaris they will screw you over, it cost me £1300 to get them out but i am so glad they are alive . We have been to icmeler about 6 times now and i have flights booked for next year but i don,t think we will be going especially if they are doing things like this.If you want to know the bars they were in i will willingly tell you if it prevents someone being poisoned even though we cant prove which one it was.

hi brightspark this has been mentioned before on the forum i think we all have to be very carefull we like istanblue and fanta lemon but will be giving it amiss this year . As for naming the bars its your call .hope the kids are ok kenny s.

well i for one would like to know the bars,( if possible) as i have a teenage daughter who will be old enough to go off on her own for a few drinks with her friends xx

Me too, i think the bars should be named and shamed. Its absolutely dispicable this is going on. We save hard all year to come on our hols to enjoy ourselves. I can see tourism in Turkey being hit badly if this continues. Glad the 3 boys are Ok x

Is it right to name a list of bars on an open forum while admitting the person concerned is not sure which one if any was involved in the sale of counterfiet vodka.
Brightspark91 says they will let you have a list of bars but I would say by pm only due to the problems this could pose for ICR.

oh dear that's not good! I would say name the bars and then at least we are aware of them. Whilst I understand that you can't tarnish a bar's reputation, I would rather save a life by naming the bars then at least people have a choice whether to drink in the bar or what they drink in the bar.

If you wish to email each other then feel free but if they are mentioned here then it will be taken off and the person responsible for doing so will no longer be able to make a post

It was a bad thing to happen to anyone and as a father myself know exactly what you would and are feeling

As for paying out the £1,300 then that shows that holiday insurances will not cover an emergency if you have alcohol in your system but they know you are going on holiday and will drink alcohol sometimes
